Wheeled duct rodder offers distinct advantages when the conduit or pipe is very long or complex, as its rubber wheel makes transport much simpler on-site. Wheels may include pneumatic tires with iron wheel rims for pneumatic control or solid tires made out of solid rubber; unlike portable rodders which generally range between 11mm-16mm for pulling rod diameter.   Duct rodders with outboard wheels are commonly used for threading conduits.
